The installation of plinths for ventilators is carried out together with the construction of the roof of the industrial hall. The plinths must be attached to the structure. The sequence of work depends mainly on whether the plinths are the responsibility of the construction contractor or the roof sheathing contractor, but also on the technical conditions.
For natural exhaust ventilation from lightweight modular vents, it is the roof sheathing contractor who usually cooperates with the supplier of the vents, who can usually also supply plinths. In this case, after the structure is covered with the supporting layer of the roof (usually trapezoidal sheet metal), holes are cut in it for the vents. The size of the cutout must ensure that the entire foot of the plinth is seated on the supporting structure of the hall.
There are different methods of installation, but each must be agreed with the construction manager to ensure that the installation is carried out safely and does not weaken the load-bearing capacity of the roof.
