Transport of ventilators to the roof and on the roof

Naturvents for industry can be classified in different ways, but due to the installation, there are generally 3 groups:

  • ventilators that are structures comparable in size to the entire roof of the industrial hall, built in conjunction with the entire structure of the hall (older type, now found in existing older buildings)
  • ventilators of lightweight construction, modular, transported to the roof in theform ready for installation on plinths, after the roof possible manual transport,
  • lightweight structure ventilators transported to the roof in elements for installation on the roof usually as long strands, usually in the roof ridge.

Regardless of the choice of the type of naturvents, all of them must ensure that the object is protected from the penetration of precipitation into the hall while at the same time extracting heat and possibly smoke (in the case of certified 2-function ventilators).

Deployment of roof vents

In terms of ventilation, the best place to place exhaust vents is the roof ridge. However, using lightweight modular ventilators, the extracted air flow obtainedis usually insufficient. Therefore, such ventilators are placed throughout the roof with concentration in places where the greatest heat gains are generated in the hall.

Ventilators are usually mounted on leveled plinths, but the manufacturer may allow installation on the roof pitch, of course, within the limits imposed by the design.
